Paul Bergman, PMP President and Senior Consultant
|
|
Experience: Paul has over 20 years experience as a project manager. He has managed projects of all sizes and across industries including manufacturing, environment, telecommunications, IT, and government. Paul is the author of a number of the industry's leading project management courses, many offered over the years in association with 15 universities and colleges across Canada.
Strengths: Paul's experience and teaching style has proven particularly useful in helping participants move from project management theory to the real world application of project management, in a way that makes sense for their environment. In addition to being President of WCP, Paul provides project management training and consulting services, is the author of some of the most popular project management training courses in Canada, often speaks at project management conferences, and is a Microsoft Project expert. Many of the courses Paul has developed over the years such as Project Management Essentials, Juggling Multiple Projects, and Hands-on Microsoft Project are held up as the template by which competitor courses of similar scope are modeled.
Education: Paul graduated with an engineering degree from the University of Toronto, and has been a Project Management Professional (PMP) since 1992.

Celia Desmond, PMP Senior Consultant

|
Experience: Celia has over 30 years of project management experience, specializing in the Telecommunications industry. Celia is the author of a book published in November, 2003 by Kluwer Academic Publishers, titled Project Management for Telecommunications Managers. She has extensive international experience, and has been facilitating WCP project management courses for over 9 years.
Celia is a Past-President of IEEE Canada (over 14,000 members), a Past-President of IEEE Communications Society (50,000 members), and past Vice-President Technical Activities for IEEE internationally. Celia has been awarded the Donald J. McLellan Award for meritorious service to IEEE, the Engineering Institute. In her current role as Project Director for IEEE, she is involved in the development of a certification for Wireless Communications Engineering Professionals.
Strengths: Celia’s experience has provided her with proven abilities not only as an excellent facilitator of project management training, but also as a project management consultant specializing in areas dealing with process redesign, culture change, the development of professional certifications, and project governance.
Education: Celia has a Masters in Electrical Engineering from Carleton University, a B.Sc. in Mathematics & Psychology from Queens University, and an Ontario Teaching Certificate. Celia has taught at Ryerson School of Business and University of Toronto, and has been a Project Management Professional (PMP) since 1998.

Celine Goodine, PMP Senior Consultant

Experience: Celine has over 25 years of project management experience. Prior to her work as a consultant/trainer, Celine enjoyed a 10-year career in managing and administering IT projects, in developing and delivering courses focused on performance improvement and project management, and in developing and administering measurements to ensure consistency of standards. Celine has been facilitating WCP project management courses for over 9 years.
Strengths: Celine has effectively shaped and supported high performance teams in a variety of international venues. Celine has the ability to establish a rapport with team/course participants and lead them to take action to improve their overall performance. She has extensive international experience and she works and instructs in both French and English.
Education: Celine holds a diploma in education, an undergraduate degree in Arts, and a masters degree in Social Sciences, from the Universities of Montpellier (France), New Brunswick and Ottawa. She holds a Programmer/Analyst diploma from the Honeywell Institute for Computer Studies. Celine has been a Project Management Professional (PMP) since 2001.

Jack Hellberg, PMP Senior Consultant

Experience: Jack has over 35 years of project management experience, including being the Director of Program Management for the Industrial Division of Honeywell Limited, Canada where he was responsible for diverse projects, varying in complexity and scope from multiple small/medium projects to single large multi-million dollar undertakings. Jack has been facilitating WCP Project Management courses for over 9 years.
Strengths: While Jack excels when delivering both fundamental and advanced level project management training, he is perhaps best known as the author and facilitator of courses such as Selling Project Management, Managing Stakeholder’s Expectations, and Rescuing Projects In Crisis.
Education: Jack has a background in business administration, and has been a Project Management Professional (PMP) since 1995.

 Stan Katz, PMP, MBA Senior Consultant
|
Experience: Stan has over 30 years of project management and business experience, and has held the position of COO, VP and Director within several large organizations. He is a co-author of “Management Practices in Information Technology” published by the CICA. He has led multi-million dollar projects in both Canada and the United States. He has established and run Project Management Offices and has experience gained from assisting clients in a very wide variety of industries and in the public sector.
Stan began teaching in 1985 as an Assistant Professor for the Canadian School of Management. He has developed and taught seminars and workshops on a variety of subjects, especially project management. He has taught a PMP Certification exam preparation course for a local PMI Chapter and established a PMO sub-group for that same chapter. Stan was Chair of the Ontario Chapter of the American Chamber of Commerce (Canada) and is the current Chairman of the Board of Telehop Communications.
Strengths: Stan’s strengths range from evaluating and improving both business and project processes to managing major projects, establishing project management offices and developing new methodologies. Stan’s executive experience provides him with the unique ability of being able to articulate the value of the application of project management best practices to the corporate bottom line. He has managed teams up to 115 professionals in size. He became a Project Management Professional (PMP) in 2002 and was also a Certified Management Consultant from 1985 to 2006.
Education: Stan has an MBA from York University in Toronto and a Bachelor of Engineering (in Electrical Engineering) from New York University in New York City. He was also trained as a Radio Systems Officer by the United States Army.

Harry Mingail, PMP, CBAP Senior Consultant

Experience: Harry Mingail brings 30 years of project management, business analysis, portfolio management and management consulting experience from a variety of industries including banking, government, oil, pharmaceutical, real estate, manufacturing, sales, HR, health, call centre, software, hydro, retail, training, insurance, tourism, recreation, sports, telecommunications and media. He is the author of several books (Project Management Entrepreneuring; Business Information Technology Strategic Planning; Business Guide to Telephone Systems) and has published more than 100 articles about project management
Strengths: Harry Mingail’s sessions are customized to the unique needs of participants, interactive, practical and entertaining with plenty of illustrations, examples and fun. Harry strives to address the specific needs and make a positive difference for each and every seminar participant and applies the most current adult learning techniques.
Harry has provided mentoring, training and education to more than 1200 businesses, governments and universities in North America, Europe and Asia, numbering over 5,000 participants. During the recent 10 years he has designed and delivered a large variety of PM, BA and soft skills seminars and workshops which consistently win outstanding recognition, success and immediate practical results for participants.
Education: Harry has a Bachelor of Mathematic degree from University of Waterloo, post-graduate Business Administration from Edinburgh School of Business and has been a Project Management Professional (PMP) since 2001 and a Certified Business Analyst Professional since 2008.

Michael Stefanovic, PEng, PMP, MBA Senior Consultant

Experience: Michael has 23 years of "hands on" project management experience which includes being the Project Manager of a $68 million retrofit of the SunLife building in Montreal, and being the Project Controls Manager on the $100 million Billiton tungsten ore refining plant and on the definition phase of a liquefied natural gas peak shaving plant for Consumer Gas. Since 1996, Michael has been consulting and training in project management. Michael has extensive international experience, and has been delivering WCP project management courses for over 10 years.
Strengths: Michael’s extensive hands-on experience with large complex projects, together with his international experience (he has practiced project management in both English and French), make him a highly sought after consultant and facilitator of project teams particularly during the definition phase of projects. Michael’s project management seminars are peppered with stories of his real life experiences thereby bringing the theory of project management to life.
Education: Michael has a degree in Engineering, a Masters of Business Administration, and has been a Project Management Professional (PMP) since 1995.

Court Stevens Senior Consultant
|
|
Experience: Court has been directly associated with contract management, as a project director for large Federal Government programs, and as a consultant and instructor, for over 20 years. Court provides training and consultation on the best practices of business and management processes associated with all phases of procurement management. This includes contract management planning and implementation, preparing requests for proposals, preparing well-written proposals in response to an RFP, and negotiating effectively (e.g. contracts). Court is the President of Stevens Consulting Group Inc.
Strengths: Court was one of the principal designers of the British Columbia government's Procurement and Contract Management Program (PCMP). He is currently a senior instructor of four courses for this program.
Education: Court has a Masters degree in Organizational Leadership and Management and a Certificate in Adult and Continuing Education. He is a Graduate of the Canadian Army Command and Staff College and is a qualified Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) training instructor.

Experience: With over 17 years of managing complex systems integration and software development projects, Kevin Aguanno is known in the industry for his innovative approaches to solving common project management problems. He focuses on two project management specialty areas: agile project management and troubled project recovery. Kevin is a Project Management Professional (PMP), and his competency is certified by IBM as a Certified Executive Project Manager and by the International Project Management Association (IPMA) as a Senior Project Manager (IPMA Level B). Kevin is an active member of the Project Management Association of Canada where he is a founding director. He is accredited by the International Project Management Association (Geneva, Switzerland) as a project management competency assessor, and he performs IPMA Level-B and IPMA Level-C assessments for the ASAPM in the U.S.A.
Strengths: As a well-known keynote speaker, trainer, and coach in agile management methods, Kevin has taught thousands of people how to better manage high-change projects by using techniques from Scrum, Extreme Programming, Feature-Driven Development, and other agile methods. He is a frequent presenter at conferences and private corporate events where he delights audiences with practical advice peppered with fascinating stories from his own experiences in the trenches practicing agile project management. He has taught for several years at the University of Toronto where he won the coveted Excellence in Teaching Award, and is a regular guest lecturer in software engineering and project management classes at several other universities.
Education: Kevin Aguanno holds a B.A. from the University of Western Ontario, and a Master’s in Project Management from the School of Business and Public Management at George Washington University.
